Need CLE Credits?

If this is your reporting year, or if you want to catch up on your Continuing Legal Education, we have three courses that have been approved by the WSBA for 1.0 CLE Credits (Law & Legal).

We know that everything feels upside down right now, but if you have the space to get some of your continuing education credits out of the way, we have you covered. All of our courses are pre-recorded, which means that you can access your content at any time from anywhere - there’s even an app! We also provide instructions for self-reporting your credits once you have completed the course.

We currently have three courses available (and more on the way):

- Defining "Green" - in this course, you will learn the importance of defining key terms and the different ways that law and policy implicitly and explicitly do so.

- The Intersection of Insurance with Sustainable Design - in this course, you will analyze the impacts of climate change on the insurance industry, and develop strategies for mitigating and managing climate-related risks. This course was scheduled to be presented at the WSBA’s Environmental and Land Use Law Midyear (Spring, 2020).

- Greenwashing:  regulatory issues and best practices - in this course you, will learn the basics of greenwashing (including the historical background and associated risks) and the regulatory guidance and best practices to avoid misleading environmental claims. We are frequently asked to speak on the topic of greenwashing, and recently presented a five-minute Earth Talk as part of Seattle U’s Earth Day Events (Keynote by Denis Hayes). You can view the video at this link.

And, if you’re struggling with working from home, we were recently invited to contribute an article to the American Bar Association’s inaugural Lawyer Wellbeing Week. Health and wellness is at the top of everyone’s mind and will be for some time into the future. Learn more about how your workspace impacts your health and wellbeing at this link (3 minute read).
