The Greater Seattle Business Association

Sustainable Strategies is excited to announce that we recently joined the Greater Seattle Business Association! The GSBA is “Washington state's LGBTQ and allied chamber of commerce, and the largest LGBTQ chamber in North America.” The GSBA represents “over 1,300 small business, corporate, and nonprofit members who share the values of promoting equality and diversity in the workplace.”

We look forward to working with this great organization and continuing to serve our communities!

Ignite! Seattle talk

A video of our Ignite Seattle talk, Nobody Cares About Drowning Polar Bears, is now available on YouTube. During our talk, we shared tools and strategies - including the power of storytelling - that everyone can use to rebrand the conversation around climate change in a way that fosters engagement and inspires individual action. Between in person and online attendance, 1,400 people viewed our talk - the largest audience in Ignite Seattle history! We welcome our followers to check out the video at the link to the right.

Leading Innovation at Work

On Friday, February 28th, we participated in the Leading Innovation at Work, Wellness at Work series. This was an exciting opportunity to share some resources and best practices during our presentation “The Built Environment + Health and Wellness: strategies to create ‘healthier’ spaces, manage risk and foster engagement.” The three main topics of our presentation were: (1) key considerations when using the term “healthy” (2) analysis and application of the latest research regarding the intersection of health and wellness with indoor spaces (3) strategies and best practices for improving health aspects, fostering engagement and managing risk.
