Our Educational Content Is Now Available!

As we mentioned in our last update, we have been hard at work migrating our educational content to an online platform, and our school is now live! Our goal is to support practitioners with high-quality content that is always accessible, and to serve practitioners who expected to obtain continuing education during spring conferences that were cancelled.

We selected the Teachable platform because it supports all of our engaging content in a user-friendly format: videos of Prezi presentations, written course materials, surveys and more. With Teachable, we can deliver the same high-quality content and engaging design that our clients expect. There’s even an app so you can access your course materials from your phone! In the video at this link, we describe some of the specifics and benefits of this platform.

You can access our programming via our courses page. To help support our communities we will offer free courses and for those who are ready to engage deeper, or need to pursue continuing education, we also have paid courses. All of our courses are designed for general audiences who are interested in the subject matter. For some courses, we are also able to offer continuing education credits.

We expect to continuously build our library, so bookmark our courses page and check back often:

Courses currently available:

  • Health and Wellness Indoors - general audience - FREE

  • Defining "Green" - general audience and 1.0 CLE (Law & Legal) - $60

Courses pending approval: the following courses have been submitted to the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA) for approval - we will release them when we receive a response. Check back often or sign up for our mailing list!

  • The Intersection of Insurance with Sustainable Design - general audience and 1.0 CLE (Law & Legal submitted, approval pending) - $65

  • Greenwashing: regulatory issues and best practices - general audience and 1.0 CLE (Law & Legal submitted, approval pending) - $65

We will release additional content on a regular schedule and also plan to pursue continuing education (CE) hours for LEED and WELL APs.

In forthcoming courses we expect to cover: issues related to design and construction within the current pandemic, sustainable development, innovation and risk management in the context of climate change and more. We also plan to explore the technical and emotional supports that will be necessary as we transition back to work and share our insights on how to create engaging educational content - teaching others how to teach.

Like most businesses, we are pivoting our services to respond to the needs of our communities. We welcome your feedback and comments as we test this new platform, and if there are specific topics you would like covered, or if you have questions or comments, please reach out to nicole@sustainablestrategiespllc.com.

Be well,

Sustainable Strategies
